Calorimetry - Measures the heat changes that occur in chemical and physical reactions
Endothermic - The process in which a reaction absorbs heat. Ex: melting ice cubes, evaporation of water
Energy - The capacity for supplying heat or doing work
Exothermic - The process in which a reaction releases heat. Ex: making ice cubes
Heat - A form of energy that can be transferred from one object to another because of the difference in temperature between the two objects
Heat Capacity - The amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of an object 1 degree Celsius.
Specific Heat - The amount of heat needed to raise 1 gram of a substance 1 degree Celsius
